Retired 4130 Fixed Gear / Single Speed · 2022
4130 - Sokol – (Fixed Gear / Single-Speed)
Retired on December 6, 2022, the Sokol had been part of the 4130 Fixed Gear / Single Speed series since 2019. The formula was simple: a double-butted 4130 chromoly frame and fork, a 46T State Bicycle Co. crank turning a 46x16 gear, and a flip-flop hub with a 16T freewheel on one side and a fixed cog on the other. Horizontal dropouts with integrated chain tensioners held it all in line. With Lo-Pro wheels a 55cm weighed 21 lb 13 oz, or 22 lb 14 oz with deep-V style wheels. Internal cable routing and rack mounts kept it tidy and useful.
