State Bicycle Co. x State Forty Eight - Klunker (27.5")

State Bicycle Co. teamed up with State Forty Eight on this 27.5" Klunker in 2020, and it was retired on December 1, 2020. The Klunker formula was part beach cruiser, part mountain bike, part BMX: a steel frame and fork, a 30"-wide BMX-style V-bar with 7" of rise, and 36-hole BMX-style rims wrapped in 2.3" WTB mountain bike tires. One gear (42t to a 22t cog) and a coaster brake kept it dead simple, and a bottle opener came standard. It was made for neighborhood cruises and corner-store runs, with the occasional trail rip allowed.
