State Bicycle Co. x Corona - Klunker (27.5")

State Bicycle Co.'s collaboration with Corona landed on the 27.5" Klunker in 2022, and the bike was retired on May 9, 2023. The Klunker was a retro mash-up of beach cruiser, mountain bike and BMX, with the wheels, frame and bars of a BMX bike paired with 2.3" knobby mountain bike tires. Simplicity was the whole idea: no gears to shift, no derailleurs or cables, just a 42t crank, a 22t cog and a coaster brake. The upright position and flat MTB-style pedals meant any shoes worked, sandals included.
