State Bicycle Co. x National Park Foundation - Klunker - Yellowstone Edition
As a collaboration with the National Park Foundation, the Klunker Yellowstone Edition was introduced in 2021 and retired on January 3, 2022. The Klunker took the tough wheels, frame and bars of a BMX bike and added ground-eating mountain bike tires, in this case 2.3" WTB knobbies on 27.5" wheels. There were no derailleurs or cables to maintain, just a 42t crank, a 22t cog and a coaster brake you worked by pedaling backwards. The 30"-wide V-bar, leatherette comfort saddle and flat MTB-style pedals kept the ride upright and easy.
